On a video comparing abortion to the Nazi Holocaust of the Jews

Recently I watched Jerry McGlothlin’s anti-abortion video comparing the Nazi attempt to exterminate the Jews with the ongoing abortion holocaust (www.wnd.com/wnd-video/hitlers-pastors-today/). This is an important message which I believe needs to spread as widely as possible, but I believe the video didn’t say enough about the secular ideologies behind this astonishing and inconceivably cruel extermination of millions of innocent human beings.
It strengthens the comparison between Hitler’s crimes and our own if we go beyond the mere fact of lots of people having been killed, and examine more carefully the motivations behind these massacres.
The Nazis had a totally false philosophy of life. They believed that people were essentially animals; that life was a merciless struggle for survival of the fittest; that traditional ethics derived from Christianity were out of date, false, useless; that the Jews were agents of spiritual, racial and cultural decay who infected Europe first with Christianity, then with all sorts of modern ailments such as liberalism, democracy, pacifism, Communism, excesses of capitalism, modern art and music, you name it – including the adulteration of pure German blood by race mixing. Hence the Jews needed to be removed so that the German people might flourish in their glorious pre-Christian paganism.
The Nazis also had no regard for a day of judgment followed by heaven and hell. People who for subjective personal reasons of their own are eager to link Hitler to Christianity will seize on every word about “god” Hitler ever uttered, but they will find nothing in all of his torrents of rhetoric about the need to repent of sin and be cleansed of sin through faith in Christ and to live for God so that we might be acceptable to him on the day of judgment, escape the punishment of eternal condemnation, and enter into paradise to be with Christ forever. Hitler and his Nazi followers never mentioned these things, or many other aspects of the Christian religion, as they cared nothing about them.
So, how does this relate to the modern world-view that justifies and leads to the killing of unborn babies? First, the secularists and the Feminists who advocate this practice also have a totally false philosophy of life. Most of them are believers in Darwinism and so, like the Nazis, see people as essentially animals. They have no regard for traditional Christian ethics or the laws of God revealed in scripture, which they consider to be out of date.
Unlike the Nazis, they see the purpose of life not as struggle and domination but as pleasure and complete, selfish freedom from responsibility and binding commitments. Sexual activity is considered as amusement, pleasure, or self-expression only, without regard for the result. Moreover, along with these general secular elements, the Feminist ideology teaches women that their true fulfillment in life comes from being as much like a man as possible. Raising children is a drag, a nuisance, a bore, a barrier that prevents a woman from finding her true self as a stock broker, TV news reporter, movie star, lawyer, factory worker or whatever.
The idea that being a mother is a high, noble, worthy, important calling is anathema to them. They hate and fear it – more likely than not as their guilty consciences are bothering them and they are not happy with the false and artificial lives they have chosen for themselves. Incidentally, being a mother means much more than just doing the chores necessary to take care of kids. It also means giving them love, support, guidance, seeing their needs and weaknesses and helping them to in those areas, and helping children develop their strengths and talents. It means sharing the miracle of life with them and, in the end, producing mature, responsible, honest, loving adults, which is (or should be) far more valuable than the ordinary results of a secular career.
We can applaud every effort to alert people to the cruelty, the horror, of the bloody massacres that are defiling and have defiled our once great nation with innocent blood – but unless we get to the root of the problem, and point out that the Feminist ideology of women being the same as men is false, and contrary to the Bible, we will not be dealing with the motivation that turns so many potential mothers into cold, calculating, and heartless killers. Yes, the abortionists make big bucks, and money (not “rights for women”) is a prime motive for their deeds, but what makes women want this service? A false philosophy of life.
Imagine if someone in Nazi Germany had said “Killing Jews is wrong.” That would have been good, and right – but imagine if they had gone further and said “The National Socialist ideology is wrong. The Germans are not the master race. People are not animals struggling for survival. Hitler is mistaken and has many wrong ideas. Jews are people like anyone else. What matters is not how powerfulGermanyis, but where you spend eternity after you die.” This would have been much more serious than merely stating that it was wrong to kill Jews.
Of course, that sort of talk in Nazi Germany would have met with a swift response. Christians today do not have to worry about that – yet. So why the silence? Why the apathy? Because modern Christianity is weak, soft, passive, and dull. There are many reasons for this. One is that many Christians are afraid to confront the false ideologies behind these modern crimes. Indeed, many churches are themselves full of the Feminist idea that women are supposed to be the same as men, act like men, dress like men, and do everything that men do. How can they speak out against this important root cause of abortion when they do not even see it as wrong and as against the Bible?
I am afraid there will be no significant advances by the church against abortion as long as Christians do not even believe what the Bible teaches about women, and are themselves deceived by the lie of women’s “liberation.” In the past, most women did not stay at home and take care of children because they were oppressed, exploited, or discriminated against. They did this because it was right, natural, normal, healthy, and proper. It is only the artificiality of our modern plastic society that allows women to live out the fantasy of pretending they are the same as men – a fantasy which, like the Nazi fantasy, is destined by a higher law to collapse in ruin, leaving behind only a vast and dark legacy of suffering, bloodshed, lies and misery.
America is now deeply ill. It will take more than another president, or some new Supreme Court Justices, or even some anti-abortion laws which will probably never be passed but, if passed, will certainly be ignored (as laws against alcohol were ignored in the Prohibition era), if they are not struck down by the courts. What Americans really need now is the word of God – unfortunately, most of them, including many Christians, do not want to hear it. What if George Washington, quotes from the founding fathers, and the song “God bless America” are out of date, and no longer relevant to our present situation?
